Hi! I'm Emily.

I started this blog to creatively destress from the everyday life of being a lawyer. My goal is to share posts regarding legal developments, fun legal facts, law school tips and tricks, mentoring advice, lifestyle updates, self-care and wellness tips, arts, food, entertainment, and travel stories, planning, organization, and budget advice (from experience), and so much more!

I am a first-generation Latina American and Attorney. I am bilingual, and Spanish is my native language. I grew up in South Florida and have fond memories of taking family trips to the beautiful Florida beaches and theme parks. I attended Florida International University for my undergraduate studies (History/Business) and law degree. In law school, I focused on intellectual property, graduated with a Certificate in Intellectual Property, earned several awards in intellectual property, was involved in intellectual property organizations, and began my career in intellectual property.

On my time off, I enjoy watching some of my favorite tv shows (Big Bang Theory, The Office, Golden Girls, Modern Family, Parks and Recreations, Superstore, and local shows (Let's Make a Deal, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune)) and films (Disney, Harry Potter, Back to the Future). I also enjoy making miniature canvas paintings of my favorite cartoon characters. I am an avid reader and make it my goal to read at least ten books a year. Autumn is my favorite season of the year, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I have two cats that mean the world to me! Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my husband, parents, and best friends
